Hi,

I am installing an officially licensed version of SpecBuilder 8 on Windows 10. It asks me that .Net framework 4 is needed so will install. I click on OK and then it comes out saying .Net 4 could not be installed and it quits. As per Microsoft, Windows 10 already has
.Net Framework 4.x. Any know workarounds?

Answer by Alex Urbach

Indeed, Windows 10 contains the .NET Framework, but if the software asks it, you can simply download the latest version and install it this way. Access the application's page at Software Informer to download the installation package. Close all the other running apps, start the Net Framework installation and follow the instructions. Reboot your PC and then reinstall Edifecs SpecBuilder. If everything went fine, SpecBuilder will skip Net Framework installation.

Can SpecBuilder be used to validate snip levels 1-3 only and suppress snip level 4-7? Or is it set to validate 1-7 snip levels only?

Answer by Robert Polubinski

The official website doesn't provide any troubleshooting information related to the availability of Edifecs SpecBuilder which means it's impossible to give details about the way it works and its snip levels. I recommend checking the built-in HELP database to find about the way it works and supported features.

Also, try to contact the actual developers of the software: call using 425-435-2200 or email [email protected].

When installing Specbuilder 6.2 on Windows 7 Pro, wizard stops and says "Installation Interrupted" and does not install. Any suggestions on what the problem may be?

A
Answer by Aiden McLeod

This can be caused by a corrupt installation package. To fix this, try to download the official package for this product. You can obtain a download link for an official version by going to Software Informer application's page and click the download button that is situated under the program's name.
